Euronext and FactSet To Collaborate To Create New Thematic Indices

FactSet (NYSE:FDS) (NASDAQ:FDS), a global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications, and industry-leading services, today announced that Euronext and FactSet plan to develop a new series of thematic indices targeting pan-European markets.

The two companies will use the strengths of Euronext, which designs, calculates, and publishes over 1,000 indices of all sizes and profile, including over 100 ESG indices and 6 major national indices in Europe: AEX®, BEL 20®, CAC 40®, ISEQ 20®, OBX® and PSI 20®, alongside FactSet’s leading sector and industry classifications to create new indices that tap into transformative trends impacting societies, businesses, and the global economy.

Euronext and FactSet will initially collaborate to create indices based on the following themes:

  • Sustainable and Green Economies
  • Next Generation Information and Healthcare Technologies
  • Emerging Societal Trends and Development

Euronext and FactSet are working on further cooperation for index creation based on discussions with market participants and will make further announcements upon official launches.
